  • Shri Hari Mandir in Sandipani is situated 5 km from the city of Porbandar, opposite the airport.

  • Covering an area of 85 acres, the temple is built in the Rajasthani style of architecture. This monument has a length of 105 feet and its entire complex comprises a total of 66 pillars.

Sudama Temple
  • Constructed in the early 20th century, the Sudama temple stands in the middle of the bustling market area of Porbandar.
  • The light pink temple stands amidst a copse of trees, which offer shade to the visitors. The temple has been built to commemorate the friendship between Lord Krishna and his trusted friend, Sudama.

Rokadia Hanuman Temple
  • Rokadiya Hanuman Temple is located in the city of Porbandar and is highly revered by the locals of the area.
  • In the regional dialect, ‘Rokadiya’ means ‘immediately’ and according to the devotees of Lord Hanuman, their prayers are answered immediately. This fetched the name Rokadiya Hanuman Temple to this shrine.
  • Initially, the presiding deity of the temple was represented by a rock and was worshiped for the next 200 years by a saint.

  • Nehru Planetarium was established in the year 1977 and is dedicated to the Non-Cooperation Movement that was led by Mahatma Gandhi.
  • It is one of the two planetariums in India initiated by Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru. This planetarium was built with the donations made by a renowned Gujarati philanthropist, Nanjibhai Mehta.

  • The Huzoor Palace, also spelled Huzar Palace, is a palace in Porbandar built by Rana Natwarsinhji, who was the last Maharaja of the Princely State of Porbandar.

  • During the Navratri festival people of the town queue up at the palace grounds to pay a nazar or pay respect to the former Maharaja and Maharani of Porbandar.

Jambuvan Cave
  • At a distance of 17 km from Porbandar Railway Station, Jambavan Cave is an ancient cave located at Ranavav near Porbandar city of Gujarat.
  • Situated near Saurashtra Cement Factory, it is one of the historical places in Gujarat and among the most visited tourist places in Porbandar.
  • Also known as Jambavant Cave or Jambuvant ki Gufa, this cave was the resting place of the warrior Jambuvan, who had his own special role in both the Hindu epics Ramayana and Mahabharata.
  • Jambavant ki Gufa is that revered cave where the battle between Lord Krishna and Jambavan took place for 28 days continuously for the famed Syamantaka gem.
  • The access to the cave is extremely narrow with naturally cut stone steps leading into a spacious cave.

  • This spectacular cave has over 50 swayambhu lingas. These lingas formed naturally are made of sand when water falls from the roof of the cave quite like Amarnath cave.

  • The goddess is considered one of the aspects of Amba and Kalika, the Hindu Devi. She is also known by the names like Harshal, Harshad, Harshat Shikotar, Sikotar Momai, and Vahanvati Mata.
  • The original temple atop the hill is said to have been built by Krishna himself.At present no puja is performed in the original temple while the puja is performed in a temple built in the market by a Jain merchant Jagdu Shah around 1300 AD.
  • One needs to climb around 300 steps to reach the original temple on the Koylo Dungar hill. From the temple, one can have a beautiful view of the sea and its surrounding plains.

Madhavrai Temple & beach
  • Madhavraiji Mandir, located in small village Madhavpur Ghed, near sea shore is historical religious place of Gujarat.
