  • Khambhalida is Buddhist caves which is located in Rajkot district near Gondal and Virpur.
  • At Khambhalida there are three caves and archaeology lovers must visit this spiritual place. It was discoved in 1958 and currently maintained by archaeology department of Gujarat.
  • Khambhalida Caves are said to be the oldest such caves in Rajkot and it is an architectural wonder of the country. This is one of the most famous place where it introducing Buddhist Caves.
  • They are situated at the foot of small hillocks on the banks of a spring. The caves have a majestic structure carved out of limestone rock.
  • The structure and period of caves is believed to be of 4th or 5th century and look likes the Uparkot Buddhist Caves.
Khodal Dham Temple, Kagwad
  • Khodal Dham Temple is located near Virpur on national highway 8, spreaded in vast area and unique in many ways.
  • It is large inclusive Hindu temples, measures 299 ft long, 253 ft wide and 135 ft high, covering huge area.
  • Idols of Maa Khodiyar together with Maa Amba, Maa Bahuchar, Maa Verai, Maa Mahakali, Maa Annapurna, Maa Gautral, Maa Randal, Maa Butbhavani, Maa Brahamani, Maa Momai, Maa Chamunda, Maa Gel and Maa Shihori are installed in temple campus.
  • Apart from this, Lord Shiva Temple, Shree Ramji Temple, Shree Radha Krishna, Shreenathji Bava, Shree Ganesh and Shree Hanumanji templeas are located besides the Khodal Dham main temple.
